This poster was created by Porsche to celebrate George Follmer's win at the 1972 Can-Am race held in Troy Township, Ohio. Follmer won racing a Porsche 917 Turbo vehicle. George Follmer (1934 - ) is widely regarded as one of the most important American race car drivers of the 1970s. In this race, Follmer acted as substitute for the injured Mark Donohue. Going on to win this race was a huge maker in Follmer's career. Follmer would later compete in various NASCAR and Indy 500 races, as well as 24 Hours of Le Mans. This poster was created by Atelier Strenger - Reichert, an art studio known for their clean lines and enticing color combinations.
