Rhône-Alpes which is now part of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, is a former region of southeast France that borders Switzerland and Italy. The Rhone-Alpes is centered in Lyon, one of France’s largest regions. The Rhone-Alpes stretches from Lake Geneva to Provence, offering tourists and locals alike plenty of activities to enjoy. The Rhone-Alpes offers the most prestigious skiing areas in France, bountiful vineyards and canyons for visitors to hike, raft, drink and sail.
