Like many car companies, Peugeot originally produced bicycles. The first car the company built was an unsuccessful steam tricycle. Peugeot has received many International awards for its vehicles and has been successfully involved in motor sport for over a century. The Art Deco movement was an offshoot of the groundbreaking 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts.
