United Nations Fight For Freedom - 25 Flags Medium
The United Nations (UN) is an intergovernmental organization created to promote international co-operation. A replacement for the ineffective League of Nations, the organization was established on 24 October 1945 after World War II in order to prevent another such conflict. At its founding, the UN had 51 member states; there are now 193. The headquarters of the United Nations is in Manhattan, New York City, and experiences extra territoriality. This image was created in 1942 showing the early group of nations working towards the formation of the United Nations. It features the flags of 25 countries imposed over the image of the Statue of Liberty in New York City, the home of the United Nations. This is an Original Vintage Poster, it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
