German WWII SA Competition Gruppe Niderrhein Tinnie 1935-This tinnie is constructed out of a die stamped steel base that has been gold gilted. It is shield shaped and features the stylized SA emblem above a vertical broad sword that is surrounded by a wreath. There are two mobile swastikas on either side, at the top and “Reichs Wettkampftage Der SA Gruppe Niederrhein 28.-30. Aug 1935” (Empire days of competition SA Group of Niederrhein 28th - 30th August 1935) on the lower half of the badge. The hollow back reverse has a vertical pin that soldered. It still works fine, but there is a large amount of glue on the reverse where the pin was possibly epoxied back into place. This pin has quite a bit of gilt left, I would say approx. 85% to be conservative. Nice details.
