PERFECT SWORD FOR BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE LEVEL TAMESHIGIRI   About the Katana Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from 1065 differentially hardened carbon steel with bohi (blood groove). The hamon of the sword is authentic in a midare gunome pattern. The blade is full tang and very sharp. Saya: The saya is wooden with a high gloss blue finish and bull horn koiguchi. The sageo is blue fiber/silk material. Tsuka: Is custom fitted 11" piece wrapped in dark blue silk / fiber material. The tsuba is round solid steel that has a wolf head embedded in it, black color.
