Gevrey Chambertin 1ER Cru "Les Corbeaux" 2021, Burgundy, Claude Leblanc

The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er cru “Les Corbeaux” is a powerhouse of a red Burgundy. The wine shows grand-cru level intensity. Our notes show dark cassis fruit in the nose, along with licorice and gingerbread spices. In the mouth is enormous and very long — the tannins are bold and bursting, a sign that the wine will live for decades to come. Aromas of plum liqueur, black raspberry, warm earth and a touch of the sauvage. There is excellent richness to the bigger and more powerful medium weight plus flavors that are at once concentrated and quite serious while flashing evident minerality on the slightly warm mineral-inflected finish.
