‘negativities / Richard Tuttle An edition of 49 signed and numbered copies. 23x26 inch archival pigment print Co-published with Galerie Christian Lethert on the occasion of Richard Tuttle’s show Books, Multiples, Prints, Writings and New Projects opening at the gallery in June, 2017. Integrating a hand-written text that he’s titled Bananas, Richard sees this print poking fun of different types of negativity, while also looking towards a select group of Belgian artists, including James Ensor, and how they used their specific locale to integrate words with images. Being the first print Tuttle has made in a few years, he counts this edition as breaking new ground for him - by having an edition printed digitally, and by including text on a piece in a way that he feels he had never been able to accomplish before, almost as if it is the first intermediary between his hand made books and his previous printmaking practices. Tuttle has been the subject of museum exhibitions around the world, an
