Apollo 7 Flown Heatshield Presentation After the Apollo 1 fire 1967 Apollo 7 became the first manned Apollo mission testing the new Command Module in earth orbit 1968. Wally Schirra, Walt Cunningham and Donn Eisele launched on a Saturn IB october 11th 1968. Flown heatshield material mounted on a 7x9'' rigid foam board certified on the backside. The source of this heatshield is a larger block formerly encased in lucite and given to NASA workers and VIPs as a recognition of their work in the Apollo program. Flown artifacts from Apollo 8 are very rare and in demand. This edition is limited to 30 presentations only.
