A handmade stoneware candle votive featuring free-form black and brick red glazes finished with simply rendered incised squiggle patterns around the sides. The piece measures 5" wide and 3 1/2" high. I presume this was made by the hand of a young person because it's wonderfully basic and simple although I think the glaze patterns are moody and modern.
