**I can't attest to if this jug is food safe or not but it's a beautiful piece that would look great on a bookshelf** A large decorative stoneware jug featuring a gently ribbed beehive-like shape with thick body and narrow opening. The lug, made in 1989, measures 7" wide and 9 7/8" tall. The bottom is signed "#9 us orig 11-89." The jug is in very good condition.
