Philip Larkin:  A Writer's Life by Andrew Motion is a 570-page hardcover published by Farrar Straus Giroux (New York), stated first American edition of 1993.  The dust jacket has a small closed chip along the top of the spine.  Inside, the half-cloth cover has some staining but inside the book, the pages are clean and crisp.
