Nonprofit Articles of Incorporation

This legal document is the foundation of your nonprofit organization. It includes crucial details such as the organization's name, purpose, and structure, including the board of directors. It is filed with the state to officially establish the organization's existence. Once the Articles of Incorporation are approved and filed with the state, the nonprofit is legally created as a corporate entity. The organization can then apply for an Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the IRS, and, if desired, tax-exempt status.
