The design is inspired by ancient Khmer zoomorphic lime boxes, with the elephant symbolizing strength, steadfastness, and protection. In Cambodian tradition, elephants are considered guardians of the home, and this vase is best placed with its head facing the door to welcome positive energy. Each elephant vase is crafted by hand with love and patience by deaf artisans.
