It is actually a myth that opossums hang upside down from their tails. While it is true that they have prehensile tails, and can use them in that way, they mostly curl their tails up for carrying leaves and sticks to make a nest. They use their tails sort of like an extra arm and carry all kinds of things around with them. This little baby wanted to play in the apple tree and climb amongst the ivy vines with her sweet tail.
