This early Wes Willie Navajo bracelet is simple, yet beautiful.  The black jet stones are cut by hand and meticulously fit together in this traditional sterling silver channel inlay piece. Wes was a journeyman welder for 15 years where he worked with metals like stainless and carbon steel, but he always had an interest in jewelry-making.  Wes started making jewelry full time in 1993 and is a self-taught silversmith with awards from numerous prestigious shows including Santa Fe Indian Market. CHANNEL INLAYTo create a piece of channel inlay jewelry, the artist constructs a series of channels in the metal which will hold the stones in place. Stones are carefully measured and cut before being placed in the channels according
