Smoke and Snakes - Loki's Rosary
The Smoke and Snakes rosary is handcrafted in devotion to Loki, the Mother-Father of Monsters of the North. This rosary is made with sections of 9 smoky topaz beads separated by dragon's vein agate, all strung on glittering gold-tone chain. It features an arrow-head cross piece filled with mistletoe leaf and berries and finishes with a gold snake pendant. Smoky topaz is reminiscent of the smoke of Muspelheim and fire itself, which Loki is often linked with, while the number 9 is a deeply sacred number in Heathen practices. Loki is closely tied with snakes, from his child Jormungandr to the snake that drips poison onto him when he is bound below the earth, inspiring both the snake pendant and the dragon's vein agate in this rosary. The arrow-head is our rendition of the mistletoe arrow Loki crafts to kill Baldr. The section of this rosary that fits over the head to be worn around the neck is 26.5 inches in length to cross piece, while the vertical hanging section drops 8 inches from the
