The Gallae - Ritual Honeyed Loose Incense

The Gallae is our ritual incense devoted to the priestexes of Kybele, the Gallae. Their gender nonconformity baffles scholars as surely as it baffled their contemporaries, but they call to us and other queer practitioners for that reason. We work with the Gallae as queer and trans ancestors; they have shown themselves to be loving teachers of the crafts of daily life as well as more mystical arts. We hope that this ritual incense will open the door for more practitioners to work with the Gallae in their own practice.  Our Gallae ritual incense is handmade with herbs, resins, and honey. It contains rose petals, juniper berries, almonds, pinecones, cinnamon, frankincense, and dragon’s blood. Each item is ground and combined with honey, in a similar style to but distinct from kyphi incense. Each batch is pressed into a condensed layer of a jar and stored in a cool, dark place.
