Antique ITALIAN Rococo Ornate Carved Wood Embossed Brass LUMIERE Candle Pair

Pair of Antique 19th century Italian Lumieres.  Two incredible Lumieres crafted from embossed brass and finely carved wood. Feature a vase-shaped base with winged handles and an ornate, leaf-shaped top, likely used for ceremonial or decorative purposes. The term "lumiere" typically refers to a light source, such as a candle holder, while these most likley served a similar function, their primary identification is as decorative parade or display pieces. There are no actual sconces attached for candles Each measures approximately 22" x 6 1/2"x 4 1/4" Condition looks to be good for age. Typical finish wear is obvious, as photographed. Front wood is stained, back looks to be unstained. At some point one of the wings coming off the base looks to have been professionally repaired. Visible by the wedge on one of the wings. (either professional with finish match or old enough to not show the repair).  Overall very good and visually quite stunning in person. 10762-1134
