Antique 19thc CHINESE Hinged Lid LACQUER Box w/Gold Gilt FIGURAL Pagoda Scene

Chinese lacquer box, likely from the 19th century, characterized by its black lacquer finish and intricate gilt (gold) detailing. Features an ornate scene of figures in a garden setting, complete with pagodas and a bridge, all rendered in gold against the black background. Each figure showing inlaid eggshell at hands and faces. Hinged lid opens to one open compartment for storing small trinkets or jewelry. Measures 7" x 5 1/2" x 1 3/4" tall.  Overall, excellent condition, light wear to lacquer and minor scratching, but nothing major to note. 10762-18
