Clyde Leon Keller (Pacific NW, Oregon, California 1872 -1962) framed landscape on panel in elaborate gilt frame. A serene Autumn hillside landscape, most likely of somewhere in Oregon. Signed at lower right, most likely dated in the 30's. Ornte wood frame measures 33 1/2" x 27 1/2", painting measures 23" x 17 1/2". Excellent condition. Due to the heavy and fragile frame, shipping is a bit more for this item. I will be sure to pack securely and insure for a safe arrival. As found on PortlandMuseum: In 1884, at the age of 12, Clyde Leon Keller was enrolled at Willamette University, attending the drawing class taught by Mary Bridges. He later studied there under Marie Craig. By 1893 he had an artist listing in the Salem City Directory and in 1894, under the influence of Homer Davenport, he began his career as a cartoonist for the San Francisco Examiner.
