Art Nouveau Spelter Flower Nymph Inkwell
Gone are the days of eloquent letters penned by ink and quill under golden candlelight. But luckily for romantics like us, beautiful relics -- like this inkwell -- remain to remind us of that bygone era. This exquisite piece hails from the early 1900s, just before the decline of inkwells thanks to the invention of the typewriter and the fountain pen. It is cast in spelter in the quintessential art nouveau style and features a gorgeous bare breasted nymph emerging from a flower. She is leaning over a blooming bud which holds the original glass ink dish. Inkwell has its original cap and removable cup. If inkwells aren't your thing, this breathtaking piece also would make a great witchy candle holder or cone incense burner.
