The strong connection between France and Scotland in days gone by is evident in the corruption of the French Assiette (plate) to the Scottish dialect Ashet. This shallow, oval serving dish brings back fond memories of Sunday lunches when food was presented on it in the center of the table with the meat or fowl garnished all around with vegetables. Here we have produced an Ashet with a distinctly Vermont character by blending the Scottish traditional shape with the beauty of Vermont Bird's Eye Maple.
