Now in its third generation of ownership, the vines and winery are managed by brothers Jean-Michel and Bruno Pieaux, who took over in 1995. Chenin Blanc, also called Pineau de la Loire, may have come to the Loire Valley more than 1,000 years ago. This versatile grape not only makes rich still whites, but can also be used to make excellent sparkling wines.
