Bodegas Pinuaga, Tierra de Castilla Rose 2021

This organic rosé is a perennial favorite. Fresh berries and lively acidity combine for a joyous wine to drink. The wine is from a small vineyard planted with 70 year old vines of an old clone of Tempranillo locally called Cencibel. This special clone produces smaller grapes with very soft and silky skin, and has a much longer ripening period. The winemaker feels that it makes excellent rosé and we agree. About 15% of Grenache is blended in from a neighboring parcel. Super flexible this pairs well with a wide range of foods.
