1980's Issey Miyake burgundy and brick red grid plaid skirt and blouse ensemble. While the designer is famous for his inventive pleats, his plaids are nothing short of genius. Composed of a soft, lightweight, and durable blend of 80% hemp and 20% rayon. The earthy tactile element puts you at ease. The tunic silhouette features a high boat-neckline, kimono sleeve and wide/open waist hem. Mid-length skirt with a figure-hugging curve at the waist and diagonally pleated draping down the front. Higher hem in the front than the back. Side zip and button closure. Unlined. Excellent condition.  Labeled a size JP 9.
