Peperomia 'Hope'

Botanical Name: Peperomia tetraphylla 'Hope' Common Names: Peperomia Hope Description: Peperomia Hope is a lovely hybrid cultivar belonging to the wide and varied genus of popular houseplants, Peperomia. It is a cross between Peperomia deppeana and Peperomia quadrifolia, both of which are low-growing vining epiphytes with small green round leaves on thin stems. Care Guide  Water Water when the top several inches of soil are dry, about every other week. Water with fresh water lightly and slowly from above, allowing water to soak through to the roots, then tip out any excess water. Keep the leaves dry.  Light The Peperomia needs medium, indirect light. They can tolerate partial shade and will even grow under fluorescent lights. Avoid direct sunlight as it can burn the leaves. Rotate the plant occasionally to encourage even growth.  Humidity Prefers higher levels of humidity, around 75% or above, in summer months. In other months a normal humidity level is desired.  Repotting Needs Check if the plant is ready to be repotted by touching the soil and seeing if it has become loose, or if the roots have become overgrown. Repot using a rich, well-draining soil.
