Unlocking Knowledge
"Unlocking Knowledge" is the first work created from the pages of a more than century-old Masonic volume titled A Library of Freemasonry Illustrated. The book had suffered water damage, staining, and deterioration beyond restoration. A Brother entrusted it to me with the hope that it might be given a second life. Rather than allowing it to fade into obscurity, I began drawing directly onto its surviving pages. Each work in this series was created one page at a time. I would read the text before me and respond visually to the ideas it inspired.
