I don't have favorite wines, but I do have wonderful memories with certain bottles of wine.  I don't have favorite wineries, but I do have a fondness for certain wineries and wine regions. My first experience with Ducru-Beaucaillou was 30 years ago and since then I have used Ducru-Beaucaillou as a benchmark for St. Julien.  30 years ago Ducru was a little more affordably priced, but they also made a lot more wine under the Grand Vin bottling and now they have 3 other labels. It has taken me over a year to assemble all of the wines for this tasting and I am extremely excited by the opportunity to be able to highlight ONE winery across over 40 years. The retail value of one bottle of every wine poured is close to $6,000.
