2022 Chateau La Grande Clotte, Lussac-Saint-Emilion, France
WHY WE LOVE ITAmongst the 6.5 hectares of land dedicated to growing red grapes, you can find the vines that have offered all their subtlety to Château La Grande Clotte for 25 years. This is a gourmet wine that can wait 6 to 8 years before you open it.Varietal Composition: Merlot, Cabernet-Franc and Malbec Elaboration: Once the harvest is done, the fruits of three grape varieties (Merlot, Cabernet-Franc and Malbec) are vinified in tanks. Then we grow them equally in tanks and barrels, for 12 to 14 months. This repartition is quite typical of Lussac-Saint-Emilion wines, it allows them to preserve a lot of fruity aromas and roundness and benefit from the wood’s tannins, slowly revealing themselves to set the wine’s color. Tasting Notes: A subtle gourmet wine. Rich blueberry, cherry and hazelnut notes, accompanied by ripe and plush tannins. Creamy and full-bodied with a smooth finish.
