FARM ROVING - Alpaca / Merino / Silk - Roving from LIZZIE - Maroon/Brown/Dk Rose

This roving is made from LIZZIE, who is quite the character around the farm.  She is a hard color to describe to the fiber artists out there.  To other alpaca breeders she is a Dk Rose Grey.  If she stands in the sun, she clearly has maroon undertones.  I added some maroon merino to the roving to accent this and OMG, it is such a cool, unique an awesome combo.  I cannot wait until next shearing to do it again!  It is hard to get a good pic with the right lighting :)  This is roving and is beautifully prepared and super soft.  It is pin drafted and a pleasure to spin.   The stats: 4 oz in a braid roving - pin drafted 70% alpaca | 20% Merino | 10% cultivated silk Grade 3 (superfine grade)  micron approx 23-26 microns next to skin OH SO soft  almost no VM  no neps or noils (very smooth) mill processed  staple length - approx 3- 3.5 inches maroon/brown The roving is light and airy and drafts beautifully.
