MB 6 White stoneware

A cone 6 version of our very popular MB Stoneware. Extremely smooth, white, plastic mid-range clay body. It is vitreous and porcelain-like when fired at cone 6. MB 6 stoneware was designed to better fit the mid-range glazes.   Temperature Range Fires Between Cone 6-9, 2232-2300° F Shrinkage Cone 6 - 11%, Cone 9 - 12.4% Absorption Cone 6 - 3.7%, Cone 9 - 2.1% Texture Smooth Best Use Oxidation firing, distorting thrown forms Color White - Oxidation, Gray- Reduction Qualities Vitreous and porcelain-like, forgiving & versatile Glazes Use glazes that mature between cone 5 and 8.
