Name: West Arsi Nensebo Country: Ethiopia Region: Werka, West Arsi Varietal: Local Heirloom Process: Natural Elevation: 1,950 - 2,100 MASL Tasting Notes: Oranges, Cane Sugar, Chamomile The A.A.S.H. Nensebo washing station, run by the Yonis family, receives freshly picked coffee cherries from around 850 smallholder farmers in Ethiopia’s West Arsi region. These farmers, each managing 2–5 hectares of certified organic coffee, harvest and deliver their cherries directly to the station. The region’s mountainous, volcanic landscape and ideal climate contribute to consistently exotic cup profiles, further enhanced by traditional processing methods that ferment whole cherries and sun-dry them on raised beds. Once dried, the cherries are hulled to reveal the green coffee beans prized for their quality. Formerly considered part of the Sidama region, West Arsi has since become recognized as its own distinctive coffee zone, shaped by unique terroir and deep farming heritage. Enjoy $5 flat rate shi
