Support Animal-Assisted Therapy for Special Education Students TheraPets.org provides Occupational Therapy and Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) to special education students in Northern Illinois—at no cost to their families. Many of our students are non-verbal and have Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs). Our therapy animals help them build confidence, improve social skills, and reduce anxiety. Why Your Donation Matters We recently lost two-thirds of our annual funding, putting our therapy programs at risk.
