This harness comes from bulls to get the maximum thickness possible. we dont split it in the limeyard so the weight is 14oz in the butt and up to 26 oz in the neck. this is ideal for making split weighted reins The Heavy Oil Harness Leather is deep oiled to achieve a more durable finish for the specially heavy duty work this product is used for The 1st or first quality side is carefully chosen firstly at the raw material stage and later its re-classified once the product is ready to ship. In this way we ensure ourselves of the quality of the product and that only the best sides are available for our customers. The flesh side is buffed  The pit tanning used has been developed at the tannery over 20 years ago and has since been praised in the saddle making industry for achieving the quality of north american tanneries.  These hides are chosen from the south of Argentina where the weather is colder and the animals achieve this thickness throughout their lives.
