W R CEDAR limited edition handmade print

Description: "W R Cedar" is an original handmade block print of the bark of a striking Western Red Cedar tree. Although there are many of these trees in the Pacific Northwest, each has a unique bark pattern, marking it as an individual as our fingerprints individuate us. Great Gift: This print is perfect for anyone who loves nature, trees, the Pacific Northwest, or celebrating uniqueness. Printmaking Process: I hand-printed each print on white 100% cotton paper (archival and acid-free) with lightfast ink. For each of the six colors, I carved out more and more of the same linoleum block by hand and then printed that color. This method is called reduction printmaking because you reduce the block as you carve more away. That means you cannot go back and print a color again. Thus, this is a limited edition of 12 prints, which I have signed by hand.  Due to the handmade nature of printmaking, there may be slight variations between individual prints, making each one a unique piece of art.
