The Beacon™ Chest Seal is an advanced occlusive dressing designed totreat open chest wounds. Beacon™ Chest Seals are specifically designedwith a medical grade hydrogel adhesive strong enough to adhere to skinthat is exposed to blood, sweat, hair, sand or water. Regular size combo pack contains 1 vented chest seal and 1 non-vented chest seal to accommodate entrance and exit wound, allowing for air and blood drainage without allowing air in. If only an entrance wound, use the vented seal. If both an entrance wound and an exit wound, we recommend using the vented seal on the front of the body, and the nonvented on the back, because with the back pressed to the ground or a gurney, there will not be much venting happening.
