LSM Lighting System

Overview The CORE Survival® LSM Lighting System is a parachute slider-mounted lighting system designed to provide visual marking of parachutists and/or aerial loads for collision avoidance and tracking during training and tactical operations.  The LSM is available in both visible and infrared versions.  Both versions provide a strong visual or IR marker for the parachutist and some canopy illumination under moon-less conditions.  Improvements in the second generation include snag-resistant features, enhanced battery security, and lower profile. The LSM system comprises two high-intensity LED-based luminaires, control circuitry, and a replaceable CR123 battery mounted within a lightweight nylon carrier.  Automatic activation is achieved immediately upon deployment of the parachute canopy.  The LSM provides two bright points of light for marking the parachutist or load plus low level illumination of the parachute canopy.  LSM's are user-specified and designed for specific rigs and slider
