A strange plant very similar to the species Puquiensis, endemic to Puquio, Department Ayacucho, Peru. There are a few specimens known in cultivation in California nurseries closely resembling each other. This is the "Marsicals" variety. They are distinct from cuscoensis in that they get a much deeper blue and lack the rib structure.
