It is almost a fact that it will rain at a paintball tournament, don't get caught lacking- Slightly thicker than a normal sock, probably fits in your cleats (they fit in mine)- 3 layers including a waterproof membrane- The outer layer does absorb some water but it does not penetrate to the foot*If submerged passed the top of the logo, water will come in through the top and is no longer waterproof*
