Marked by flaws and imperfections—this piece was a true flop. The base was too thin, a hole formed mid-throw, and it was headed for the scrap pile. But I stayed with it. I played, reimagined, and let it become something new. Pottery involves a lot of flops—so does life. It’s what we do with them that matters. “Salvaged” is a reminder that even when things fall apart, there’s still possibility.
