Matcha Whisk, Bamboo

Elevate your matcha at home with this bamboo matcha whisk, also known as a chasen. Cut from a single piece of bamboo, it’s completely uncoated—no polyurethanes or other sealants used.  Your matcha whisk begins with 80 tight prongs (aka “teeth”) that open up with use and time. Soak whisk in hot water for 30 seconds before using for best results. Whisk matcha in hot water in a quick W motion for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Rinse with hot water; dry upright. If shaping with a matcha whisk holder, make sure whisk is completely dry first.  Bamboo whisk comes packaged in a recyclable kraft cardboard tube. Whisk measures 2 1/4" diameter x 4 1/4" tall; packaging measures approx. 2.5" diameter x 5" tall.
