Maraba Coop  Taste Story This washed lot from Rwanda is vibrant and delicate. Immediately you’ll be greeted with tropical sensations like guava, and pineapple. Its delicate nature will bring to mind honeysuckle, jasmine and even elderflower. As it cools you’ll experience a touch of peach sweetness. In all you’re getting a very clean, vibrant and easy to sip coffee.  Processing Journey This traditionally washed lot was floated first to detect defective cherries. After a brief soaking period it was thoroughly washed, and then set on raised beds to dry in the sun. Throughout its drying period the coffee is manually rotated to promote even drying.  Farmer Profile This coffee is the result of the dedication of resilient women of the Huye region of Rwanda. They belong to the Maraba cooperative, established in 2001 by an USAID funded development program to improve the lives of farmers. It now includes 1,500 members, 35 of which are women.
