30s Large Art Deco "tight Top" Cellulose and Tin Button Coat Button Jacket Button Robe Button Crafts
$30.00
Cellulose was in general use starting in 1920, and the art deco movement ranges from the 20s to the 40s...so I am placing this in the 30's. A large hollow button made of tin covered with a cellulose top, called a "Tight Top". Button measures a large 2. 5 inches across and is .50 CM thick or 3 16ths of an inch. The back has some rust, so maybe mad of tin? This would be great on a coat from the era, or if you are a button collector, just an unusual bit of miniature art deco design/art for your collection.
