WW863Vargas vintage earrings screwback goldtone aqua rhinestone signed 40sThe mark on the backs of the screw on these earrings is a V over an elongated diamond shape; used in 1947 by Vargas, a company also affiliated with Park Lane and Carl Art.Each earring is screwback, 3/4 inch in diameter, with openwork goldtone metal; rope edge with dents that look like they should have held stones, but - - no stones, no prongs, no debris. The stone is vivid aqua, prong set and 5/16 inch in diameter - glittery, faceted and a matched pair.Pre-owned, and yikes - 70 years old!
