40s Plaid Taffeta Evening Gown Victorian Styled Bustle

This is a wonderful 40s does bustle era Victorian evening gown. The gown is made of a two toned green and black plaid rayon taffeta. The two toned green gives the gown a wonderful metallic sheen that really adds to the whimsical feel of this dress. The gown has a little peter pan collar with a skinny black velvet bow at the neck. It has ¾ length dolman sleeves that have little cuffs that match the collar. The bodice is fitted past the natural waistline and ends at the top of the hips in the front and dips into a small V in the back. The gown buttons up the back with fabric covered buttons and a hook and eye at the waist line. There is a small apron-like swag that hangs loosely around the front at the waist, hiding the waist seam. In the back there is a little bow like puff of a bustle.
