This gorgeous lingerie dress in white cotton eyelet lace dates from around 1911-1912.These lovely dresses, often mis-labeled now as "tea dresses" were called lingerie dresses or lingerie gowns during the era due to the fine cottons and lace used to make them. You will also see these dresses called "lawn" dresses, which isn't necessarily incorrect. Lawn is a type of smooth, high thread count cotton (it has nothing to do with parading about a lawn at a garden party). This particular dress is not cotton lawn, but rather a sturdier cotton eyelet lace with insertion lace and lovely decorative crochet lace buttons on the front.Hidden button closures down the center back.I love the frilly lace collar and cuffs. The cotton hem is unfinished, which makes me think this dress may have never even been worn!Beautiful for a summer wedding or afternoon picnic. Measurements 31" bust24" max waist35" hip51" length Condition Lovely condition overall with one small stain on the side, which I have not tried
