The Phalanx is one of our most trusted and longest-serving designs. This highly versatile gilet is constructed from a Polartec® fleece fabric named “High Loft™”. It is one of the most comfortable mid-layers we have ever made and works best when worn under a hard shell or insulated jacket. High Loft™ has the greatest warmth-to-weight ratio of all Polartec® fleece fabric technologies. The patented high loft construction that gives the fabric its name helps trap more body warmth with the use of longer fleece yarns than conventional insulation. The resulting experience is that of a softer feel and maximum comfort when worn under an outer shell. However, what really sets High Loft™ apart from everyday fleece fabric is its unique open mesh stitching which helps vent excess heat during exercise.
