Sioux Moccasins / 1890

A pair of soft-soled moccasins decorated in sinew-sewn seed beads. The vamp consists of a central stepped triangle motif in red and white, terminated by two "eagle" feathers on a green field. The edge features obtuse triangles using yellow, translucent red, blue, and green beads, flanked by crosses. The tongue is similarly decorated with trade cloth covering the cuff.
