A Tibetan ghau - carrying shrine or portable shrine, made of silver and with intricate repousse work comprising of the 8 lucky symbols , dragons birds and lions. These traveling shrines are carried by Tibetans and houses statues and relics and are considered to be protect the bearer from harm. An antique Tibetan silver ghau measuring 5” in height. This traveling shrine has the front and sides in silver, with a back piece made with copper. The front is ornately detailed with repousse work of various motifs including the 8 lucky signs .
